I’m K.LC — the creator behind K.LC Author Studios.

I’m a creative entrepreneur with a background in creative writing, art & design, and business, originally from a small town in the UK. But more importantly, I’m someone who believes that stories—real or imagined—shape how we see ourselves and the world around us.

The Story Behind the Work

Mundane Magic is more than a story—it’s a reflection of lived experience.

It’s inspired by people who grew up navigating limited resources, adapting, and finding ways to move forward regardless of circumstance. At its core, it follows a young girl from a powerful yet troubled background, setting out on her own journey—not just across a chaotic, magic-filled world, but inward, toward understanding who she truly is.

Her destination may be college, but her real mission is self-discovery.

What It All Means

This story—and everything I create—centres around one idea:

Your journey is yours alone.

It’s about stepping away from expectations, seeing the world through your own lens, and asking the bigger questions:

Who are you?
What do you want?
And how do you want to live your story?

The landscapes my characters travel through are wild, unpredictable, and often unforgiving—mirroring the internal journey we all go through. Because the truth is:

Where you come from may shape you, but it does not define you.

In many cases, it’s the very thing that fuels growth, ambition, and purpose.
