The story behind the ideas.

A spooky drive
Driving through an enchanted wilderness sounds romantic… until you realise it’s haunted, crawling with monsters, and you have absolutely no clue where you’re going. Wildred is terrifying.Honestly, what was I thinking trying to travel all the way to Ore on foot? I should’ve just swallowed my pride, saved up, and teleported like a sensible person. The deeper you go, the quieter it gets — no towns, no lights, just endless trees watching you back. They say this forest is full of bandits, wandering spirits, and daemons that don’t like being... My favourite place in the whole world!
Greensward is the most beautiful, alive place I’ve ever had the pleasure of stepping into. People from every corner of Wildred come here, and you can feel it in the air — ancient magic tangled with modern life. Spellbound foliage growing over glass rooftops. Spirits drifting between streetlights. Elves arguing with dwarfs over café tables. Humans trying very hard to pretend all of this is normal. It’s the most expensive place to live, of course… but it’s also one of the few places where the rulers actually care about what... Read more...
The Crow Hotel in Turf
These pictures don't capture just how high up I was, the clouds are literally underneath me! The occasional luxuries of being a famous mans daughter. From up here, Wildred almost looks peaceful. At the Crow Hotel in Turf, the lights stretch endlessly — warm, distant, and deceptively calm. It’s the kind of view that makes you believe everything is under control… that your journey is going exactly as planned. But I’ve learned something traveling through this world:the higher you climb, the more you see just how unpredictable the road really... Read more...
An inaccurate statue of the famous seven.
It always makes me laugh when I see these statues. They’re never accurate. Apparently whoever commissioned this one couldn’t get all the Guardians in one place (which honestly… good luck with that), so they just guessed based on rumours. For starters —Lewis may be as pretty as a painting, but he’s very much a man, not a woman.Jeremiah is way taller, has pink hair, and — last I checked — is an elf, not whatever this is.Jackal? Definitely not an elf.And Ada is much smaller than this statue suggests. But I... Read more...
Arrived at Turf
I wasn't meant to be in Turf at all, but here I was. I still don't get their fascination with crows... They will literally eat you alive and use your bones for their nest. Nasty! After trains, ships, buses, questionable directions, and more than one “this definitely isn’t on the map” moment… I’m here. Turf feels different.Quieter. Softer.Like the kind of place where the world pauses just long enough for you to breathe — and maybe, if you’re lucky, figure out what you’re really running from. And maybe where to... Read more...
Camping in The Thicket, not by choice...
Camping in The Thicket… not exactly a life choice I’d recommend. It’s the kind of place you only end up in by accident — or bad luck. Once you’re lost here, getting out isn’t just difficult… it’s unpredictable. You can walk for hours, days, even months, and the trees never seem to change. Thousands of them, stretching forever — but the ground beneath is completely barren. No berries. No animals. No signs of life. And any water you find? You’d better think twice before trusting it. I’ve heard stories.People disappearing... Read more...
The Thicket
A half dead landscape of toxic trees and sadistic wildlife that will eat you in your sleep. Does make for a badass aesthetic picture though... Some places don’t just feel wild… they watch you back. The Thicket wasn’t on my list of stops. It wasn’t on any map I trusted, either. But Wildred has a way of pulling you off the path — twisting roads, swallowing plans, and reminding you that not every journey is meant to be predictable. I thought this trip would be simple.Just get from A to... Read more...
Pigeon-Rat
Today’s wildlife encounter:✨ Pigeon.✨ Rat.✨ Spits venom. Wildred really said, “Why choose one animal when you can have both?” It climbed through the train window, stole someone’s lunch, hissed at an elderly woman… and then learned the hard way that not everyone on board is powerless. This is what I mean when I say magic isn’t glamorous. It’s feathers, teeth, and something green burning through the floorboards. Still… I can’t help being fascinated. Poor little beasty... He just wanted the old lady's sandwich, there was no need to turn him... Read more...
Selfie at the train station
Train stations in Wildred are either beautiful… or a bad idea. Today? We’re pretending it’s just beautiful. Next stop: Turf.Hopefully no raiders.Hopefully no cultists.Hopefully no mysterious creatures climbing through the windows. Just me, my suitcase, and a one-way ticket away from everything I’m supposed to be. If magic makes the world extraordinary… why does leaving home feel like the bravest thing I’ve ever done? This is me leaving home. This is also where a bug-man tried to rob me… Tried and failed. A little bit of spirit magic combined with... Read more...
My journey from Wildred to Rae!
Walk from Earthall to the station.Train to Moss.Another to Greensward. All the way to Clementine. Then a short bus ride to The Ocean City,a ship across the sea,off at Carp…and whatever transport will take me to Ore. Peace of cake. It was supposed to be simple —just a neat little journey from A to B. But I should’ve known better.Wildred doesn’t do simple. It’s wild, unpredictable… and very good at reminding you who’s really in charge. Next time I plan a trip halfway across the world,I’m packing more than optimism. ✨ Read more...
This kind of thing happens all the time...
I was just minding my own business and having some lunch when some guy runs past, hands ablaze, running after some dude in a mask. To those of you who don't live in Wildred, this is pretty normal. Same old, same old. Coffee: hot.Pancakes: excellent.Guy throwing fire at a fleeing thief: Tuesday. People think magic is dramatic. Glorious. Cinematic. Most days? It’s just background noise while I’m trying to finish breakfast. Welcome to Wildred — where you can’t tell if the special of the day is blueberry pancakes or mild chaos.... Read more...
Aurora here, first time posting!
First post. First step. First secret. Hi, I’m Aurora — and if you’re seeing this, it means I’ve finally decided to stop hiding behind my family name and start telling my own story. This is me in my new studio apartment. It's only taken a voyage across the ocean and two different continents, walking through cursed forests, being chased by hooligans and a demon-like creature to get here... But, I'm here! Ready for my first day of college at Fahim Academy; a school of magic. Wish me luck! 📖 Mundane... Read more...
